Sunday School
Sunday school classes are held every week at 9:45 a.m. Classes are offered for elementary youth, young adults and older adults. On Wednesday evenings, middle school and high school youth meet in Staub Hall for a time of fellowship and fun. Bobby Burris and John Wright coordinate that group feeding them and teaching a meaningful lesson.
Rally Day
Each year, Rally Day is held in Staub Hall in order to promote the activities coming up for each Sunday school class and to renew interest and involvement. Each year, the ministry team selects a fun theme and develops elaborate decorations and spirit in order to excite members and friends about the upcoming Sunday school year!
First Presbyterian Church – VBS Day Camps
During the summer, day camps are offered to the children of the church in order to promote a love of God in a fun and activity-filled way. For example, in 2012 a Teddy Bear Tea Party was given for the preschool aged children. Attendees learned about manners, etiquette and did crafts all while exploring the love of God. The kids had a blast! Also, day camps were offered for the elementary and middle school kids so that they could get a glimpse into the ministries offered in the church. They worked hard, but they had a rewarding time!
Youth Camps
Each year, the Christian Education team sponsors youth to attend Presbyterian Church camps in order to enrich the lives of the children in the church. The financial assistance provided by the ministry helps offset some of the costs of participation and helps encourage the participation by the youth.
